Embrace Possibility When the world is unfair to you …

When the world is unfair to you …

Green bus broken down on the road... remember that the world has also been generous to you.

If you can read and understand these words, that means you:

  • have access to electricity, a computer or phone, and the internet
  • have free time to peruse articles
  • can read and speak one of the most useful languages in the world

Take time to appreciate how lucky you are to be in your situation - this should make you feel better.

Remember: We can't choose what happens to us but we can choose our reaction to what happens to us.

"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way."

- Viktor E. Frankl, Holocaust Survivor and Author of Man's Search for Meaning
